    IP35-E PCI card trouble

Hi, I bought a Razer Barracuda AC-1 sound Card and when I installed it in my PC, the machine just stopped posting and didn't make any beeps, it just sat there fans whirring away.

Initially I thought this was RAM trouble, because taking all the RAM out of the machine would make it produce a long beep that would repeat, which I think means a memory error. When I put the sticks in one at a time, one stick would also make the beep, the other would just make the machine hang on boot, and there'd be no beeps.

So I bought another two sticks of Ballistix, which I had been planning on doing at some point, with the intention of RMAing the original two while I had the new ones. But when the RAM came, they would also not boot properly, and no beeps with either stick.

At this point I was getting really annoyed and thought this cannot possibly be the RAM I've literally just taken them out of the anti-static bag, so I took the new sound card out... and lo and behold it boots fine.

I then put the sound card into another machine, and that one booted into Windows no problem, so I tried all three PCI slots on the IP35-E, and none of them would work.

I tried them after resetting the BIOS too, to see if it was my overclock affecting it, and that didn't work.

Any of you guys encounter trouble with this specific sound card, or any PCI cards on the IP35-E?

    Specs:
    Abit IP35-E (BIOS 12r)
    Intel C2Q Q6600 G0 (425x8 = 3.4GHz)

    4x1GB Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400 (1:1 = 850MHz, 5-5-5-15 2T)
    Antec TruePower Trio 650W
    OEM nVidia 8800GTX
    1x200GB SATA HD
    1x500GB SATA HD
    1xIDE DVD +/- R/RW

    Re: IP35-E PCI card trouble

One thing I noticed on the Barracuda is it says it needs a PCI 2.1/2.2 compliant slot, I assume that the IP35-E has that as It's not exactly an old motherboard, but does anyone actually know? the manual doesn't say what revision the PCI slots are.
