    Abit AX78 Bios Update?

Anyone know if there is an update to allow support for Phenom II AM2+/AM3 Processors?
My old rig [Now the parent's one] has this board in it and as great as a board it is, the folks would like to stick either a Phenom II x2 or a 940BE X4 in.

Can anyone confirm if there ever was a stable BIOS release?
I do know of the Beta BIOS, but I had issues with it and the 5000+ BE in there, as the FSB would fluctuate [Not massively, 2-3FSB at the most] as would the multiplier [-/+ .5].

    Update!

Tried the beta bios, and my multiplier on my 5000+ BE seems weird, it seems to fluctuate even without C&Q?

I flashed back to the latest bios that was non beta, problem dissapears!

    Re: Abit AX78 Bios Update?

Not sure why you're having problems, I have a 940 running in an AX78 and the only problem there's been is the RAM timings being a bit odd and the multiplier being out by .5

lol are you for real, of course there is no support, they closed their doors almost a year ago, they are no more, they cease to exist, there is no Abit anymore.

Lol, I guess some things just pass people buy.

I wonder if the guy is still complaining at the lack of service when trying to contact the Titanic ticket hotline?
