    ABIT IP-35 nothing on screen

    Hi,

I've got an Asus IP-35 and I've tried to get it working with no success.
Basically the motherboard power on, the little red del near the UPS connector lit red, and another one comes green after I switch the PC on.

The CPU fan rotates as well as the one on the graphic cards.
The problem is that nothing is coming out on the monitor (stays in standby mode) and no beep is coming out either. If something was wrong I would expect to hear it, and if the mb get past the bios as well.
    But nothing...

I've tried reseting the bios but it didn't help.
I don't know which version of the bios I have but I havent flashed it or done anything with the mobo. I just know that it was working about 2 month ago, then I removed it and now that I want to reuse it, I get that problem...

    Thanks for your help !

    Any suggestion ?

Re: ABIT IP-35 nothing on screen

I have the pro version of the IP-35 and had this myself.

I removed the RAM and GPU card and air dusted the sockets with compressed air put it all back and it was fine. Sometimes it really can be the simple things.

I don't know if yours has the bios post code readout display between the two on board heat sinks? If so this will help greatly.

    Hope this helps.

Re: ABIT IP-35 nothing on screen

Hi. I have had this problem before (and also currently have it).

Previously clearing CMOS and resetting BIOS to fail safe has resolved it.

This time I have a hardware fault, which you may have too. I would do as suggested and clean and reseat all components and make sure leads are all in correctly. Check to see if there is an error code on the MOBO - I have 7F. You can try a deep cmos clear too, though that did not help me.

I beleive my issue it the graphics card or the PSU, as I tried a smaller card and it worked, but that did not require a direct power feed from the PSU.

If you can get some spare components to try that is a really good way to eliminate things from being the cause, but hard to get your hands on test parts somtimes.
