Trying to install Win7 on an Abit IB9 Motherboard.

Hello guys. I've been trying for years already to install Win7 on my computer, which has a Abit IB9 motherboard in it... Buy, no matter what I do, and no matter where I look for SATA drives compatible with Win 7, I cant find any - and there is no option to install it without those SATA drivers (Abit only released drivers compatible with win XP - I tried those, and they do not work). I was wondering whether there was anything I could do in order to boot Win7 on my PC.

    Thank you very much.

It should work out of the box with the MSAHCI drivers integrated into Win7, a.k.a. you should see your HDDs during the Win7 installation and be able to install onto them.

If they don't show up, grab the "F6 Floppy" drivers from intel. Just make sure you get the right one (32 vs 64bit .. all32 vs. all64 in the filename).

(They're outdated, but they should definitely work. You can still update from within windows later on)

Re: Trying to install Win7 on an Abit IB9 Motherboard.

The drivers in the link you added do not work - The installation still can't find the hard drives.
And... I dont know where to find drivers integrated for Win7.
Any other ideas? Please - I'm tierd of WinXP.
    Thank you.
