    AB9 BIOS v1.4

    Folks

I see that a new BIOS version is now formally available for the AB9 and AB9 Pro boards. I'm looking forward to trying it out this evening

A quick extract from the readme file below

    Stuart

    BIOS release 1.4 for AB9, AB9 Pro

    Release information:

    [ENGLISH]

    1. Support the IDE/ RAID mode adjusting function on JMicron363
    2. Enhanced memory compatibility with certain memories
    3. BIOS compiled date: 09/08/2006

    ********************************* NOTE *********************************

2.After BIOS updated, pull off the power cord and then clear the CMOS data
via jumper before restarting system please.

Oh yes. My memory is recognised and default SPD settings work. Haven't had a lot of time to experiment last night but can confirm that 4:5 FSB:memory multiplier now works and will try 2:3 (as well as lots of overclocking) tonight

Anyone with memory problems that hasn't already tried BIOS v1.4 should definitely have a look.

Just wondering if Abit will enable downward unlocked multi on this board - that would be nice
