Abit AB9 Pro post code 25

Hello. Im having problems with the post code 25, when i start the computer nothing shows up on the screen. I have searched for an answer on the internett but all I can find is different solutions. Some say its the Memory not working and some say that its PCI card not working. I have tryed 2 clear ccmos, swiching on the memory, And taking the PCI card out and back in again. Nothing works.

I have searched on different forums and some say its my memory(OCZ DDR2 2048MB Gold GX XTC Dual Channel) not working with the mb Abit AB9.
Today I could see that someone else had problems with the same PCI card as me(XFX GeFORCE 7950GT 512MB PCIe 570M eXtreme) and Abit AB9.

    My Computer:
    ABIT AB9 Pro
    Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHz Socket775
    XFX GeFORCE 7950GT 512MB PCIe 570M
OCZ DDR2 2048MB Gold GX XTC Dual Channel

    What should I do?

    Thank you

    hey there,

try using different ram modules, or just use one module instead of two to boot up. Dunno if it works but in my case, one memory stick was damaged(really damaged and sometimes it showed up postcode 50/52 but later on it always hung on postcode 25.
Also, you could use a different graphic card(if that is the reason for postcode 25 in your case) to just boot the pc up and then try doin some bios flash to latest bios. This nearly always helps

    Vga

Actually I had this problem and the post code says "looking for VGA card" in the manual and as I had no way of knowing whether my VGA card was working as it was a new card (being PCI Express and my current system is AGP) I had to try a new VGA card.

That worked (but only after I had connected a 4 pin molex for power to the PCI-E connector) on the m/b. The old card was presumably doa. The manual didn't seem to draw attention to that power connector.
