Nice to know we can still get parts somewhere! I was really sad when I heard Abit was going down... I love my boards.

Re: Where can I buy abit parts?

Hi, could someone confirm that ABIT RMA still works? I recently purchased my #4 AB9 Quad GT, this one with permanently short-circuited EZ CMOS switch. Because there are no remaining units for exchanges in Czech Republic, I have two options (other than ask my cheap purchase cost back) - try to find dead mobo with EZ CMOS switch and unsolder it, or direct RMA with ABIT. On global website I can't find any RMA adress, there's only support centre adress for Europe:

    Universal ABIT NL B.V.
Jan van Riebeeckweg 15, 5928LG , Venlo, The
    Netherlands

Is it where I should send my mobo to RMA? Thank you.

it's where you can open a discussion with them re. RMA - you can't just send it in without prior authorisation & expect to get anything back.

Wasn't it Lvcoyote that had a post on the how to replace the cmos clear switch without the actual replacement at one time?

I think what your referring to Wolf is when I had a AX78 sent to me by abit. It arrived with a broken cmos switch at the back I/O area. I simply removed the switch all together and soldered the two pins needed for normal operation together, fixed it that way. I never did replace a CMOS switch.

Yea, I did post pics at the abit forum...... having trouble finding them???...... LMFAO!! :hysterical:

Basically when you remove the switch assembly you will see the three contacts that the switch uses, all you have to do is solder together the two that the switch uses in normal operation position.

Use something make shift to touch the pins to find correct ones & do as stated. Then you can use the normal onboard jumper when you need to clear.

    Ok, good to know.

Yes, I thought that way too. But the thing is that after 3 previous defect ones (#1 loud buzzing, #2 DoA and #3 S3 resume problem), when probably all of few AB9 Qs (except one owned by my friend) ever delivered to Czech Republic passed my hands I would like once for all to be in possesion of 100% condition unit. For me this is a matter of sentiment Anyway, thank you for answer.
