How much power does the 5570 draw

    Hi guys,

It's running an AMD athlon X3 460 underclocked to 2.8 and 4x2tb drives, Im just curious as to if I att the 5570 will it draw too much power?

The psu im looking at is the be quiet SFX 300w

    Here is your info

    Radeon HD 5570 - 24A and a 350W PSU minimum
To be on the safe side get a 500w (OCZ CoreXStream Series 500W Power Supply )

Bearing in mind this is a low profile card not the full size? and has been running on a 300W for a few years now?

Re: How much power does the 5570 draw

Depends on your CPU etc and the 80+ rating on your PSU.
Assuming your PSU is 80+ certified (and not 100 years old) and that your CPU is sub-150W (remember to account for any overclock) then You'll probably be fine.

About the PSU your suggested - Is it the "Be Quiet SFX 300W" ? If so, it looks a bit iffy.
Look for a PSU with 80+ certification, a single 12v rail and from a good brand. Dont cheap out on the PSU, if it shorts out you could do some real damage to your system.

The PSU is 80+ Silver certified and outperforms alot of normal ATX sized PSU's. No overclock on the chip its underclocked.

It is the SFX BeQuiet. Im not sure where you got Iffy from, There are only 2 good quality SFX PSU's. one being the silverstone which is 450 Silver rated, and the BeQuiet.

It is silver 80+ certified, with a single 12v rail, from a good brand.

It previously had a CiT 300W uncertified psu that costs £10. That is cheaping out on the PSU
