Which Android scientific calculator apps would you recommend?

As title, do you use any scientific calculator apps you're happy with? The stock Android one is OK for basic functions, but that's about it. Anything other than e.g. basic trigonometric functions is either cumbersome or seemingly impossible.

I've just tried a couple of highly-rated ones and nothing would have me leaving behind my calculator, from only having a single display line to using some funky input methods for functions. E.g. IMO, 2cos(20) makes more sense entered as "2 cos 20 =" not "2 x 20 cos =", and since there's no second display line, it's hard to have confidence in the output as there's no way of checking what it's actually calculated.

Another interesting one I tried is the MyScript calculator, which allows you to handwrite calculations, and the recognition seems pretty good from my playing with it. It even auto-balances calculations so you can write 2x?=8, and it will give you the answer 4. However writing more than a few digits on a phone screen with a finger can get awkward. I can see it being better suited to stylus and/or tablet use though.

TBH I can't see myself replacing a proper calculator, but it would be nice to have a decent app on my phone for when I'm without one.

I use the iOS version of this on my iPad and I'm quite happy with it, you do have to use * in something like 2*cos(20) though. It behave a lot like a smartphone version of an older TI calculator (82-92 range). I have certainly used it a lot in the past but it's certainly no substitute for my daily carry TI n-Spire CX CAS. I just can't really get past the soft buttons, the app itself is very good at what it does in my opinion and very full featured.

IMO its far more important to be able to punch in the numbers with sufficient force over any possible functionality the device may posses.

Sadly tablets fare poorly in this respect.

Re: Which Android scientific calculator apps would you recommend?

For some reason I just expected to be falling over fully-featured calculator apps capable of suitably emulating a good scientific/graphing calculator. However it seems a lot of the more highly rated ones are little more than a fancy GUI, and there's an awful lot of clutter. I guess that's the trouble with utility apps like this though, every man and his dog makes one so it's harder to pick out the good ones.

Along the same lines, I had trouble finding a basic, minimalistic file explorer than didn't require every permission and integrate with Onedrive, Dropbox, Google Drive, my fridge, microwave, etc...

I settled on OI file manager if you're wondering.

I can't find it on the store?

I'm currently trying PowerCalc which seems fairly good so far.

I use WolframAlpha, it is paid, but it's extremely powerful however, it's mobile & web based.
