    Re: Android handset advice

Personally think the best option for a cheaper android device are the Moto G. Either the Moto G 4G (currently £105 on Tesco/O2/Giff Gaff) or its bigger brother (5inch version) that is normally around the £120 mark.

They both have great reviews, run stock android and have/are receiving the lollipop update.

    Re: Android handset advice

Budget is around £200 mark, but always looking into what is cost-effective

Size I would say 5" or bigger...

She is currently using Samsung Galaxy S2, but it has not been very stable; especially the battery.....RUnning Slimkat ROM but not the latest version

Hmmm £200 and 5+ inch I would spend the extra and go for the OnePlus One - Awesome specs and the 16gb version is £220~

Pop over to the OnePlus Thread here on Hexus to ask for a invite. My 64Gb version got delivered today so I should have spare invites if you are after one.

    Re: Android handset advice

Moto e is about £50. Worse than moto g but 1\2 the price. Argos I think. Express order from vodafone(?) Will negate the need to buy £10 topup.

Chech hukd; they mad for phone deals.

I got a LG G2 from Voda from a post from hukd...However Voda sent me a refurbished phone which is quite unfair.....I paid £150 and thought about keeping it, but the way Voda has been handling this is appalling and I will return the handset

I would rather get at least a 4.7" or 5" screen now....So I will pass the Moto e....Thank you for the tip thoough...

    Re: Android handset advice

My son has a Moto E on Tesco contract for £7.50 a month, no upfront cost. For the money I have been really impressed, keeping him on pay as you go was working out more expensive. http://shop.tescomobile.com/pay-mont...o+e?deal=14847

They do a Moto G 4G for £13.50/month (which is the phone I have, though I just bought one Sim free as I was on a Sim only contract when my phone broke). I can get 3 days out of a charge, though I tend to recharge the phone every other day just to be sure.

If you know someone who works for EE you can get the Moto G with unlimited minutes and texts and no upfront cost for around £15pm (40% tarrif discount) and at the end of the contract could go sim free for next to nothing (40% discount continues).

Overall the Z2 seemed like a well received phone but was quickly replaced by the Z3 so wasn't really given that much of a chance. They are going for £200-300 depending on condition so for £150 you have a bargain even if you sell it for more and buy something else.

MotoG would be my recommendation, I've seen it go as low as £100.
