P182 Front Panel Audio Problems I'm currently using the onboard HD Audio and noticed an interesting issue. I currently have a set of 2.1 speakers plugged into the motherboard audio jacks on the back and it works with no problems. However, when I plug in a headset into the front panel audio jack on the case, I get a weird "buzzing noise" and my friends across steam or ventrillo say they can hear themselves echoing whenever they speak to me. I have read forums where people have had similar problems saying that the wire is unshielded and that the graphics card is interfering with it. But I was wandering if you guys would know of a fix? Someone said ferrite clips on the wire might work but do you guys have anything that would definitely work? Thanks, Guppy.

Re: P182 Front Panel Audio Problems I have almost the same problem. I get a wicked buzzing when listening to headphones through the front jack, but no one has reported me causing issues with my microphone. I have tried putting a spare ferrite thingy on the end of the cable near the case jack, but it did not resolve it.

Re: P182 Front Panel Audio Problems I also have this problem with my Antec P182, have had it the entire time I've owned the case. I can't use my headphones through the front panel for music listening because there are small buzzes and pops which correspond to system activity. In games the interference is unbearably loud. Any advice for resolving this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Re: P182 Front Panel Audio Problems What exactly would the replacement front port module change? Are the cables on the replacement better shielded? I'll probably send my shipping info for a replacement too.

Re: P182 Front Panel Audio Problems Hi Olmy - Customer Support wanted to make sure your connectors are setup correctly, and check to see if you're using the HDA (High Definition Audio) or the AC97 (analog)? You can only use one or the other, based on MB requirement. If you're using the HDA, make sure the CMOS setup is enabled. If your USB ports or module is defective, then it would give the static feedback. If you've tried this, and the issue isn't resolved, please send me your information and I'll send it to Customer Support. Lastly, for the cables, you can re-route them to the back of the case for better cable management. Hope this helps! Veronica

Re: P182 Front Panel Audio Problems Hi again, I'm currently using the HD audio front panel cable in my case with the front panel connector on the Asus Xonar DX, which I believe is High Definition Audio compliant. This is an issue I've had with onboard sound also (which is currently disabled in the BIOS). I'll send my shipping details, thanks for the help.
