Connecting antec tricool case fans to controller

I'd like greater control of my Antec case cooling fans using a seperate fan controller so I won't have to dive beneath my desk each time to reach the 3-speed switches at the back. Furthermore, even on the lowest setting I would in particular like to make both the 140mm fans on my case top (Antec 193) slower and quieter when my cpu is ticking over during surfing and emails.

Can anyone help? The fans have a two-core wire to a molex fitting and what looks like a two-core wire to the stock speed controller at the back. I'm looking to get the Scythe Kaze Master fan controller if it helps some.

Just leave the switches on high and hook the fans to the controller.Make sure your controller has 4-pin connections or 3-4 pin adapters with it.

    Hi Charlieone,

I agree on what hardrocky said. That's one of the best ways to control your fans from the front of the case. Switch all your fans to high and control it with a fan controller.

    Regards,
    Antec

Re: Connecting antec tricool case fans to controller

Thanks guys and your suggestion works well with a simple single fan controller I dug out from my spares box. I eventually purchased the NZXT Sentry 2 which appeared to tick all my boxes and looked very smart on my machine after a 90-minute installation. Currently RMA'd as the screen failed to react to any touch on its touch screen, instead insisting that its only option was to run everything on auto at 60% in Fahrenheit.

My supplier (Microdirect) sent replacement controller immediately without fuss. Unit works well and looks the bizz. Well pleased.
