    Thoughts for the Expo?

    Right, what are your thoughts for forthcoming Apple products at the Expo?

    :: Almost Certanties ::

    Mini-iPods, 2-4gb, starting at around £100, possibly multiple colours

    G5 Xserves- im pretty much certain about this, was told they were almost ready by an Apple Employee in November

    :: Possibilites ::
    Updated iPods with coloured case, possibly colour screen, possibly better battery life
    Updated iMac specs, or price reduction
    More Bluetooth hardware

    :: No Chance ::

    g5 powerbooks

    Are Apple not allowed to release anything until they wait for one of these Expos or something?

    I'm definately looking forward to mini ipods, I don't really need masses of storage and I don't want to spend the amount the rest of the ipods cost, but I want more space than than the current solid state players offer.. so a smaller ipod in the £65-£100 area is a definate interest

    I'm hoping they update the main iPods.

    I VERY nearly bought a 40gb iPod this week, but then thought I'd wait til after MacExpo.

    I waited to get my powerbook and the wait was worthwhile, so I'm hoping the same for the iPods.

    I would also like to see the mini iPods the 4gb model sounds ideal.

    I would also like to see the 1.25gig G4 in the 15” iMac and eMac. Or maybe even a a speed boost / Price cut for the 12” iBook./ 12” PB.

    About 2 hours 30mins time

    Quote from a mac site

    Francisco Expo:

    Security during set-up for the show is tight, as always, with Apple's booth obscured by a huge black tarp on all sides. Posted at the main entrance are two rather generic banners for the iPod. Tucked neatly behind each of the 15-foot banners, however, is another banner that is rolled up and whose contents are obscured from view, presumably a banner containing details of at least some of what Jobs has up his sleeve.

    Despite the security, at least one person claims to have seen part of the floor with a report that Microsoft has banners and materials for Microsoft Office 2004 and Virtual PC 7.0 (This has been confirmed). Also noted are a series of Macs dating back to the original Macintosh... perhaps in celebration of the Macintosh's 20th anniversary. While this can not be confirmed, similar information is echoed by 4osx.com
