I currently have two 256MB DDR400 modules running in a VIA KT266 based rig (with SD/DDR slots on it.) It runs at PC2100 speeds and I have experienced no problems.
Similar scenario, but different chipset and module size though I'm afraid.

Yeah they'll work but iirc that board can only run them at 266 FSB.
yep i had a stick of 512mb corsair XMS in one, ran perfectly at 266fsb.
thats great thanks guys. i it as simple as just taking out the sd ram and placing in the new one? do i have to make any amendments to the bios settings?
It should be a case of dropping the new RAM in. You might have to tell it to run at DDR266 instead of DDR200, just check what options you get in the BIOS once you've put it in.
