aiw X1800: Scart RGB Adapter

I have observed severe Problems with the SCART Adapter:
- I can not get a good picture with it, it is the same as composite. My TV can be forced to either Composite or RGB via Scart all look the same
- The reason seems to be that for SCART RGB, ATI has not implemented interlaced modes.
- This is confirmed using Powerstrip. The SCART Output has a non-interlaced mode and even Powerstrip can not switch it on (=a known problem with them)
- The result is a 400 Euro Card that has a composite grade signal and not even a SVIDEO post, as this has been given up for the Scart Plug
- I would argue that ATI makes wrong and incorrect advertisments by saying that the card has SCART RGB output.
- Should I not get a fix somehow, I will return my card to the dealer and fight with him.
- The HD Modes via the HD adapter are interlaced. So I guess that ATI just did not realy understand that SCART thingy (the old european stuff that is...).
- Can I rescue the card by purchasing a YUV to RGB+sync adapter? HAMA offers one for 90 Euro. Will that sync on 480I from the card? Can I use poerstrip to tweak it to 520i?

rgds

(PS: I had a perfect system with powerstrip VGA-SCART/RGB and an old Radeon card, all I wanted is some comfort in Monitor switching... So I have seen what a real SCART RGB signal from PC is like)
