Re: 4870x2 Power

If that OCZ Modstream 600W is anything like its bigger 700W model, then I suggest it is not all that good.

Re: 4870x2 Power

get those female-male/male-female or Y molex adapters, i used them alot in my old machines, before modular psus came around the market.. and they're cheap.. just be sure you dont over use ur psu with all the extra molex connections lol..

Re: 4870x2 Power

With that power load, making sure you dont go cheap with molex adaptors is important.

Re: 4870x2 Power

I had a 4870x2, wasn't impressed, too many games with poor SLI support and it just seems even a bit prone to glitchiness in brand new games that specifically go out to accomodate it:

Re: 4870x2 Power

Can a PSU cause POST corruption (red bars and 'dots' on the screen in text mode) and BSOD when Windows tries to boot? I have a new Corsair 850HX which I bought to replace some 670 watt Seasonic I had (was having these problems on it, too) and am curious if it could cause the problems? An old 8800GT works fine in the computer. I can start another thread if you wish...

Re: 4870x2 Power

Could be loading one rail too much, or the connectors not quite in properly.
