Vista w Theatre 550 Pro will not boot

First I tried to install Vista with a Theatre 550 Pro PCI / and PCIE card installed. It would lock up at the Windows splash screen. Once I removed BOTH card the vista installed finished booting and I was able to install. I ran the Vista upgrade wizard and it found nothing wrong with H/W. Now that I have vista x32 ultimate installed I am trying to install the Theatre 550 Pro cards- Vista will lock up at the same splash screen it did when trying to do a clean install with cards installed.

My setup works fine under XP, but I want Vista media center. Here is my h/w

ASUS P5WD2-E Premium LGA 775 Intel 975X ATX Intel
ASUS EN6600/TD/256M/Silencer GeForce 6600 256MB DDR
Patriot 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667
Intel Pentium D 805 Smithfield 2.66GHz LGA 775 Dual Core

And the TV cards that will not work in Vista-
POWERCOLOR T55-P03 PCI
POWERCOLOR T55E-P03 PCI-Express x1

Here is the workaround...

Remove Card
Install Vista
From within Vista, Right click on command prompt (it is under accessories) and select "Run as Administrator"
From Command window, type in

bcdedit /set configaccesspolicy disallowmmconfig

There is a space after the "t" in bcdedit if you cannot tell from the text above.

exit out of everything
shut down system
install card
you are done, and life is good.
