USB vs. PCI-E: Does one cause more lag?
I just purchased a ATI TV Wonder 650. Part of the reason I bought it was to plug my PS2 in. However, as noted on other threads, there is a lag when using Catalyst Media Center; a significant one.
I've heard that using external software such as VirtualDub or DScaler helps. However, these programs do not seem to detect my USB tuner. Also, is a USB tuner just inherently going to have lag by virtue of the fact that it is USB? Should I have purchased the PCI version? |
