| TV Wonder Pro won't install Hello all! New guy here... About three years ago, I bought a ATI TV Wonder pro with the sole purpose of recording my favourite Dr Who shows. Since then, I've gone through three new pcs with the episodes safely tucked on my hd. Tonight, I decided to watch one of them, but found that my VLC player couldn't play .vcr files. Fine, I thought, I'll just hunt for a converter, only to find there isn't one. So, I dug through my boxes of discarded pc parts and installed my ati tv wonder card. However, when I go to install, it doesn't install the Multimedia Center. The Installshiedl comes up for a bit and "Preparing Installation" comes up, but then, nothing. It just vanishes. I've even upgraded my MMC to 9.16. Could someone PLEASE tell me what I am doing wrong?! |

| Re: TV Wonder Pro won't install okay, I like to consider myself pretty savvy with pcs, but it seems I may have to have my geek license revoked. It turns out TV Wonder wouldn't install for me because I'd been using the wrong card. So, it's installed, and I installed MMC 9-16. But for whatever reason, the .vcr files won't play. So, I'm going to try and work that out. Also, there is no option to convert to .mpeg in my ATI library. I'm seriously considering just sending the files to someone capable and having them do the conversion. I'm willing to pay for it. So if anyone's game, it's about 19 files.
