Corrupted Theatrix Theater 550 pro bios

During a unsuccesfull biosflash of my X1600 pro 256mb AGP videocard, the Atiflashtool flashed my Theatrix instead, which was quite a surprise to me. It appeared that the theatrix and the X1600 switch places on device 0 upon each boot. So i made a backup of the X1600 during the flashprocedure, but flashed the Theatrix with the new bios for the X1600 instead.

Would a theatrix owner on this forum be so kind to make a bios imagefile of the theatrix theatre 550pro (PCI, PAL version) and make it available to me?

Thank you very much.

Bios chipset

Neither did I!

I didn't know this bioschip could be flashed with an X1600pro bios (with another partnumber) without any error!!
And I did not know two ati products in the same machine would give that much trouble. Even with my old AIW 9800Pro (which i got more or less working on an ASUS A8V Deluxe) the Theatrix would fail to work. Only with a non ATI card and a non ASUS motherboard it worked right.

But i'm still hoping someone would be kind enough to supply me an biosimage for the Theatrix.

Re: Corrupted Theatrix Theater 550 pro bios

Hi,
Sorry but i gave up on the Theatrix. Bought a new one, ripped the bios and flashed it on the 'old' one. The card was fried, and it smelled like burned electronics too.

Re: Corrupted Theatrix Theater 550 pro bios

Hi, try Atiflash (DOS) or Winflash, downloadable from techpowerup.com
Read the instructions, I cannot be held responsible for any damage to your hardware.

BTW did not get any response from sapphire either.

Re: Corrupted Theatrix Theater 550 pro bios

Can you please PM me or send an email with the BIOS image for a 550 card (I don't think it matters which one).
I also have one with incorrectly updated bios.
I think the image is 512 bytes long, is it?

Thank you,
PDan
