wheres deinterlacing options for 550 theater?

anyone work out where the deinterlacing options are for 550 theater using mmc 9.14?

are they in 9.13?

are they in catalyst control center only? what if you dont have a ati video card like me?

looks like theres 3rd party deinterlacing programs out there that could help? eg = http://www.alparysoft.com/products.php?item=6

I have a nvidia 6600GT. wonder if theres deinterlacing options for it...

someone more exp with tv cards wanna give some pointers? Getting rather concerned about pumping all these video card settings up for tv then try to game with those same settings...

good forum thread for others with same senario;

Hi at0mic,
I don't think there are any deinterlacing options in MMC. Those are left for Catalyst Control Center because they impact the actual graphics card and the effects on the display you see.

at0mic: the theatre 550 Pro cards don't perform any type of deinterlacing; they just capture and encode to MPEG-2.
If you want deinterlaced video, you'll have to use a decoder that supports DXVA mode (Cyberlink, Intervideo, Nvidia, etc.).

Some day we get Hardware DCDi (Directional Correlation Deinterlacing) like what found in the Faroudja technology chip so we can record in Progressive mode and not Interlace.
