TV on secondary monitor
I am trying to display tv on my second monitor, but it doesn't want to work. I have a TV Wonder Pro installed on a PC, Intel 2.4, 1024 Ram, Radeon 9000 video, XP Pro. I just installed the 9.08 MMC and drivers upon recommendations I read throughout this forum. Didn't help my problem any.
What is happening is I start the TV, and it starts fine and works great on the primary monitor. The screen size is medium, and I can move it all over the place on the primary monitor screen, but as soon as I drag the tv window to the other monitor the tv window screen goes black and tv is gone. At that point the tv window and player is frozen and will not close. When I go to task manager the ATIMMC file is using 98% of the CPU resources, and will not close by selecting end task. The only way to stop it is to turn off the power to the computer. When I restart, everything is as it was before. The tv will start and work just fine on the primary display, but as soon as I move it to the other monitor...boom, it does it again. Once I tried resizing the tv screen to the smallest size to see if the size had anything to do with it, and when I dragged it to the other monitor it immediately caused the computer to reboot. So, I didn't do that again. What am I doing wrong? Thanks...Randy |

Same problem for me but i simply cant move the TV window on the secundary monitor... I can only move it to the second monitor if i select stretch desktop horizontally (which i dont wanna do!!) in Catalyst CP... but then the TV image become distorted...
Any help to solve this on this brand new card would be apreciated. |

Re: TV on secondary monitor
I know this thread is a few years old, but I stumbled across it and figured I'd comment in case someone else does the same later.
Here's how to be able to move the TV display to a secondary monitor: First, you need to have selected to install EASYLOOK during the initial install. Second, You need to install the Remote Wonder (remote control) driver\software. It's a free download from the ATI drivers site. Do that even if you don't have one or never use it. I used the Remote Wonder II. Then, in the Multimedia Center Configuration (from the start menu) on the EAZYLOOK tab, the last option is for multimonitor support. Enable it and the TV can move to the other monitor. ô¿ô¬ ~Bill Last edited by Bill Seiler; 12-09-2008 at 11:34 PM. |
