TV Wonder 650 - can I copy to a vhs?

OK I know you're gonna say "WHY do you want to?" well trust me, I need to. I have a perfectly wonderful .avi I have made, I need it burned on dvd... I don't have a dvd burner -- except in my dvd burner/vhs combo... so. Thought if I could copy it onto a vhs, then I could do it. Please don't just suggest I go buy a dvd burner for computer... I might if I can't do this but I really would rather just be able to do this.

I tried putting the yellow composite in video IN on the vcr.. but it didn't tape what I had playing in my ATI Catalyst media ctr that came with my 650 card.... Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can tape ONTO my vhs from my computer?? THANKS!!!!

Most video cards, I'm not talking TV tuner, have some sort of composite line out for video. I would try to connect that to a VCR (full screen the video) then record with the VCR.

Hey Jigga, thanks for your response - yeah, in addition to the video in on the VHS i had it set to video out on the card... but I never did get it to work... not sure why. Thanks. I finally did a major rigamarole do everything backwards, forwards and twice, and finally did get a dvd. Days later. OY
