TV Wonder 650 with MMC?

Hi Everybody,
Would appreciate any feedback or advice on the following:
Does any version of ATI MMC work with the TV Wonder 650 card?
I've had no luck getting any version to install with this card, the installation just aborts without a message.
I simply don't need a MCE style app (Catalyst Media Center just won't install properly on my system anyway) and I find that ATI MMC is perfect for my needs and am wondering if it's possible to get it to work with this card.

I have heard of people installing MMC on systems with a TV Wonder 650 but it was unclear to me if they already had some other multimedia ATI hardware installed as well.

In any case once installed MMC will only work for the analog component of the TV Wonder 650.

I have a 650 and I run MMC 9.16 with it (cause I love the mmc functions) but it has its problems like you have to install the Cytalyst MC with it for the MMC to reconizge the TVcard. When you install it don't run it or even mess with it all you need is for it to be insalle. Cause if you do mess with it and try to record with Guide+ it'll start up CMC (Cytalyst Media Center) and that software will error but(it may slow your system down) the MMC Program will startup and record it(wait when I did that I had the MMC running)

Oh'ya you may wanna run msconfig and disable some startup services like cli and CMCservice to stop the CMC from strating when you try to watch or recod tv. I haven't done every thing to figure this whole this with the 650 and the MMC software, but ATI will not help you casue they say they don't supprot the MMC with the 650. But I hope this helps.
Besides some funny stuff it work pretty good (the RC work but don't press the TV button caus it'll start the CMC)

Oh yea can you keep posting or email me so we can help each other out on figuring the faults of combing the 650 with the MMC series cause I wish ATI would build the next MMC to be compatible with all TVcards they make.

AndreL, I have had NO success getting either ATI Powercinema OR any version of MMC to install on this computer.
I have been trying out every piece of tv tuner software I can get my hands on, most of them don't even recognize the ATI card and the ones that do are crappy.I'm almost ready to scrap this card and try a Hauppauge or some other brand.Very disappointing and frustrating!
Is the video card in your system an ATI card as well?

Hmmm let me see..BeyondTV, SageTV, MediaPortal, WindowsMCE, CyberLink PowerCinema, VirtualVCR, InterVideo WinDVR, EZ Video Capture, Blaze Media Pro, Yahoo! Go For TV, K!TV and several others that I have forgotten.

I find it odd, considering ATI Media Center is just a bastardised version of Cyberlink PowerCinema, that no ATI cards are listed in the Compatibility List for Powercinema 5.

new here searching for same info bought a new pc and needing a tuner bought the 650 catalyst is lousy. I had a AIW radeon 9000pro with MMC. loved it. tried many times to install MMC. all was a no-go (several errors files not found....) contacting ATI they said MMC is not supported w/ 650 and won't work. I was so ticked i retuned whole pc to dell and am back with old pc w/ radeon. If I coulda got MMC to work i'da been ok BTW my radeon's picture wasfar superior to the 650 w/ CMC. dont know if it's the tuner or lack of MMC. I may try it all again
