Arrow Pirates of the caribbean - treasures of the lost abyss???

a lot of speculations/rumours going round that the working title for the new pirates of the carbbien film is 'treasures of the lost abyss' The sequel is already under way, with the film's screenwriters working on a draft of the script.

found out a wee bit more! jerry bruckheimer (dierector) said...

"Yes, we have Johnny Depp already lined up. We just made a deal with the writer who did the rewrite of the first Pirates. Let's hope we can do better than Bad Boys II. It took me eight years to get that to the screen. We'll make this much quicker." (Latino Review)

supposbly, the abyss is the first ship to sale in the caribbean.... seeing as though the title is (possible) trasures of the lost abyss, they will be searching for this mysterious ship, where it is, what happened to it, where the treasure is etc....

Really looking forward to another Pirates movie.

Thought the first one was excellent, bought it a few weeks back on DVD and watched it a few times already. Really fun movie to watch, nice touch at the end of the credits on it also

Yeah, Its only 30 seconds but makes it a bit more interesting with regards to a 2nd one.

Might be seeing some of the dead crew again looking at the short scene at the end of the credits.

Jerry Bruckheimer was the producer, he doesent direct. The director was Gore Verbinski, director of The Ring (US).

I am well up for a sequel, hopefully a trilogy comes out of it, you gotta love a trilogy!

There are some things which a sequel would be great to, and others where a sequel is just not needed.

I think Pirates would be great to have a sequel, wheras films like Donnie Darko or Gladiator do not need a sequel at all!

That would be cool, Johnny Depp is a quality actor, and his keith richards impression is superb.
