    Which 2.1 Speakers?

    Simple chaps.

Which 2.1 Speaker system should I buy?

Looking to spend a max of £120ish although I'd go higher for something really special.

Ideally I'd like to spend a fair bit less, but so would we all

Usage - PC (Games, podcasts etc), may link the TV up to them too.

    Cheers,

    mr tom.

Thanks - those all look interesting choices.

Am sure THX is wonderful, but wonder whether I'm too much of a Neanderthal to notice the difference. Is there a clear difference that non-audiophiles will notice?

    Cheers,

    Tom.

I can't say about the difference between normal 2.1s and THX certified 2.1s, but I know there was a big leap from my 2.1s to my Panasonic 5.1 set that does all the different settings. Mind you, at just shy of £500, it damn well should do

What sort of sound are you after? If you want bit bass then the logitechs are great (I have the slightly older z2200) but the trebles aren't so great due to the lack of tweeter. I took the grill off the z2200 subwoofer and the thing is massive, at higher volumes the cone moves a good inch and a half.

I'd take a guess and say the acoustic energy give a good balance of bass and treble

Abit Idome sound really good for small size of speakers. If you have space, you might want to check out richer sound and 2nd hand speakers in other forums,
speaker 50 for amp and 50 for speakers...
