Replacing Naim Nait 3 with AV amp.

Now I posted this on the AV forums and got shot down haha. Basically the nait 3 is a stereo amp...I want a nice AV to connect/stereo/pc/ipod. I've been told that the SQ will drop alot...but tbh I doubt I'll notice. I'll probably keep my B&W 601 speakers.

What do you guys think? Also what amps do you recommend, I was thinking denon or yamaha.

    Nooooooo, Don't do that

One thing you could do is keep the amp, then just feed the pre outs of the front speakers out of the decoder into the NAIM, so when your using it for surround you go through the decoder - but for stereo sources you can totally bypass the decoder

Denon are nice, although what kind of price are you looking at? Take a look at Arcam if you budget stretches

I used to have a full surround system, but tbh its quite a gimmic and I ended up selling it up and getting a Bi-amped stereo system, which I love

Another tick for Denon kit and another tick for keeping the Nait, maybe use it as a second system driver.

I'm not really interested in keeping the nait, I just want a decent AV amp really.

I'd also say keep the Nait... I'd also say you'll notice the difference

But if you are set on getting an AV amp, what's your budget ?

If you're looking more for an easy to use system that does it all, what about a Naim N-vi, or Arcam Solo movie ?

I'm probably looking at 200-300 tops. I'd like a Denon...but if you can offer a better alternative then that's fine.

I`ve been using a yamaha dsp ax 630 for the last few years. I`m looking at going the other way though to a Stereo amp.

Had my eye on a Cyrus series 8 for a long time now.
