speaker problems

Hi Hexus people


I have creative labs sound blaster x fi
creative labs t6060 5.1 surround

when i plug headphones into creative dongle the quality becomes very poor. I have tried other headphones all with same result.

Could someone advise what changes i need to make?

The quality i get from the jack on my logitech dongle isn't great either. You'll get much better quality if you plug it directly into the sound card.

I used to have a 3.5mm splitter pluged into the sound card, speakers on one side and an extension on the other side going to the desktop so i could plug the headphones directly to the soundcard without fiddling under the desk

alright mate, dunno if you've sorted the problem already but i had a similar problem with the same speakers! Turned out i hadn't pushed the dongle connector all the way in on the sub. lol, also you could try connecting the jacks directly to the motherboard instead of the sound blaster?
