I've got the Pionner 43" Plasma and its fantastic.
Very easy to use and set up. You can hook up pc, games console, pc card reader, compact flash etc.etc. I had the chioce of lcd 30" or 43" plasma the Plasma won hands down for me. |

Ive seen Plasma, RPs and Projectors and first off. Don't get an RP
![]() Plasmas are good but the high quality Sony projectors are great, very little skipping and high light levels isn't a problem. Only down is that you do need to replace the bulb every once in a while, although then if you drop it you don't have the problem of having to get out the room SHARPISH! RP- Rear Projection television. Until a couple of years ago, the only way to get a big TV. They basically have a CRT projector inside them, which projects via a mirror onto a plastic screen (I think they're plastic of some sort
). TBH I prefer them to Plasmas, but that's not saying much.

Still, I suspect a lot of the reason I dislike Plasmas (and LCD TVs) is because they have a lot of picture noise and fuzziness. I reckon this could be caused by the digital-->analogue-->digital conversion the picture has to go through. Perhaps the new Pioneer screens with a digital connector on them are better? Rich :¬) |

Good projectors cost £10,000 +
Plasma screens are way behind these and CRTs in quality. CRTs 0wn any other format in terms of quality at the moment. (IMHO)
