    Question about DVD viewing

Simple question really.. but since moving to an LCD display I've noticed DVDs now look rather pants. They look great when run in windowed mode, but as soon as I full screen them they look quite naff.

So, starting from scratch, with my x1950xt, what software do I need to get, what should I setup etc. to be able to watch DVDs nicely at 1680x1050 full screen?

    Thanks!

Hmmm.. There not much that'll help you. Nvidia's PureVideo decoders give a picture quality that appeals to many.

You could also try using some Avisynth and FFDShow trickery to upscale the DVD on the fly, but I don't really know much about it. You'd need a fast processor for that though.

This won't help much, but sit further back, use a "proper" tv, or watch them in HD.

At the resolution your monitor runs at, it will look pants 720x576 vs 1680x1050 = blockiness
