Need help with my amp please :(
Hey guys well ive got an Onkyo 605 Amp. Im trying to connect it to my computers x-fi fatality using this lead
http://uk.europe.creative.com/shop/p...&product=1076& Im getting it to go multi channel. However when i put the cables in and they ARE all in the right places. I only get 2.1 sound. I have everything set to 5.1 but only 2.1 is coming out. Can someone give me a bit of help? I dunno how to fix the dam thing lol. Cheers neon

Is this 2.1 for everything you play? Including film/games etc not just music? when you say everything is set to 5.1 is that on both the amp and sound card software?

Yes thats with everything. There is no settings on the amp for it. Its just automatic according to the manual. But it is set to 5.1 on the pc.

Hmm, strange. I'm not sure what to suggest, only to try running some separate sources in to some of the surround channels on the amp and see if they play through together, if so then it'd be your sound card/software that's the problem.
