    Outside Cinema

Zak's post on Das Boot, got me into thinking about watching films outside, I think it was Jersey about 5 years ago on holiday, being out in a large public garden with a huge white screen to project the film onto.

It was middle of the summer and it was damn hot, watching ice cold in alex, with ice cold beer from the chiller

It was definitely a unique experience and really cool, something that is really great to do.

Anyone else had the chance to see an old film like this too?

I once saw Trainspotting on a 'drive in' screen at a car show. Fell asleep about 20mins in on the grass bank we were laying out on, must have been a long day lol

I think it would be nice to have some proper fulltime drive in cinemas like the states get, I can't think of any locally here.

im tempted to get a white screen to drop down on the back of my house and a projector installed in the shed. Watchin films out side sounds like fun.

that would be worrying to watch Jaws in a swimming pool in the dark. I bet the water was yellow by the end of that nite

I heard of one place that shows films like jaws in a pool, but to add even more excitment they have unseen frogmen tug peoples legs at strategic moments of the film !!
