sky hd "any time" channel change flicker

Any sky HD users, I would appriciate your expeirences.

using the red "anytime" button, when I scroll through the menu of available channels and you see the preview in the top right of the screen, every time I push up or down to change the channel the whole TV flickers black then back to sky, although I was changing channel with each up/down movement and the hard disk crackles like mad for that second.

I appriciate this data is stored on disk so there should be activity, but each preview is like a channel change.

I'd appriciate hearing from other users.

    It is Inevitable.....

Not for me I'm afraid. Fairly seamless from one to the next.

Have you tried the Sky technicians favoured technique ? Y'know, unplug it for 5 minutes ? Does tend to cure 99% of the faults we have.

I think this is to do with my amp.....maybe, in that on each change of the channel it checks to see the right resolution to display at....not sure.

Just had a look and I don't get this issue. Just wish you could choose which type of programming you wanted and then it would download more of that kind of content!

I think you have the issue directhex.

I didn't have the problem before it ran through my amp.

I'll have to investigate how to get around this as it's rather annoying
