For the golden globe they picked up the other night for the T.V series 'The Office.' It was hilarious watching them on stage when they received their award:

"We (the cast) are from a little country called Britain...we used to run the world before you did!"

Rofl had me creased...

And also Ricky won BEST comedy actor, another quality line:

"Well you do need a pair really (talking about the awards themselves) ...to make bookends!"

It was great how they really hadn't thought they'd won so didn't prepare a speech!

But the American's don't get comedy, not proper comedy like Fawlty Towers, Red Dwarf or Men Behaving Badly. I've seen the attempts at making American versions of them.

Strange that they get this, far more subtle, black humor. I expect most American's to think it was a real documentary.

I have the American Red Dwarf pilot and its the biggest pile of crap I have ever seen. Kryten is the only proper character as they actually used Robert Lewellyn. Other than that its just not funny at all. Even Kryten is completely subdued compared to the way he is here. Why do the American TV and film companies think they can do better than what is already available, they just ruin it
