    Confused.......

    HW
Shuttle SN26P (8-channel audio, courtesy of a VIA Envy24PT audio controller)
Logitech X-620 speakers ( 7 Speakers, FL FC FR Sub RL RC RR )

Question...... How do i make sure i have set this up correctly as am currently at a loss....

The switch on the speaker is set to 6.1 ( 6 main speakers and the sub )

Testing shows the speakers working but not the way i'd expect them.

When testing the sub, it outputs to the FC speaker too and the same when i test FC speaker, it outputs to the sub......

The sound applet is not much cop tbh it gives options for headphones, 2 channels, 2+2, 6 channel [ 5.1 in brackets under it ] and 8 channel [ 7.1 in brackets under it ]

Windows Sound app doesn't give much scope for the speaker set up the only high end options are 5.1 and 2 for the 7.1 option

i think i've got the cables going to the correct plugs on the back of the shuttle, green to green black to black and the orange of the speaker going to the red/pink plug on the back.....

Question is the low end suppose to play through the sub and front centre channel at the same time ?
