Question AMP / Speaker assistance please?

    Hey all,
    So here's the situation:

I am looking at starting to upgrade my TV set-up. At the moment I have a 28" CRT flat TV with my Wii and a XBMC plugged into via scart. Obviously when watching films or playing Wii the sound is less than impressive.

Could anyone recommend me some steps forward to improving the sound - surround sound would be cool.

Furthermore, the TV has audio out, would I keep the scarts from the Wii and XBMC into the TV then route the audio out into the AMP? Or would I individual plug the Wii / XBMC into the AMP/Speaker set?

    I have a budget of around £100.

    Thanks in advance,
    Leon

    Edit:

A couple of things I've been looking at:
    Argos - www.argos.co.uk
Buy Acoustic Solutions DS534 Home Theatre. at Argos.co.uk

I know I have ignored the budget but this is a really good buy:

    Yamaha AV61 AV Package 61: RXV361 + NSP110 www.multizoneav.com

It gives you a decent home cinema setup capable of good sound, unlike those things from argos. It is alos upgradable.

I think at this level you would be best plugging in video to the TV and then the sound through this. However, the wii does not output surround sound, just varying forms of dolby surround.

    Cheaper here:
YAMAHA AV61 PACKAGE (RXV361 HOME CINEMA RECEIVER AND NSP110 5.1 SPEAKER SYSTEM) - available from Superfi UK Visit http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/page/moreinfo.cfm/product_id/3396 for details

Seems to be about £200 most places actually.

Hmm I like the look of the AV61, plus everyone seems to rate it on the AV Forums. I think I can stretch to spending that much

Just need somewhere to buy it from now, local preferred as getting it delivered will be a pain

It will be a hell of a lot easier to find a good, cheap retailer in the Midlands than here in the London area.
