    I reckon high bitrate 1080p with full quality sound will be 4-5GB per hour, which is not possible to stream at the moment... If by HD you include low bitrate 720p with standard dolby digital sound then 1.5GB per hour is possible.

    Personally I want my HD to be 1080p with lossless sound so I'll be buying a PS3 soon

    from some info I found on the net:

    34m = 3.70GB for a 720p stream

    Yeah, sure you can compress the stream more and even reduces the size a little and scale it, but it's still not going to compare to the offline media.

    That's probably uncompressed mpeg2... Compressed h.264 can reduce the size loads without much quality loss (look on the bay, lol)
