    Coat hanger as interconnect

Saw this on Engadget earlier in the week, surprised no-one els has mensioned it.

There is a thread on the Audiophiles forum on SlimDevices.com that I've been chuckiling at.

    Thread:
Audiophile Deathmatch: Monster Cables vs. A Coat Hanger! - Slim Devices : Community : Forums

    Original source of discussion:
Audiophile Deathmatch: Monster Cables vs. a Coat Hanger
    and
Audiophiles can't tell the difference between Monster Cable and coat hangers - Engadget

Now, here is a really interesting page:
    Optical cable test in question

Seems the optical signal isn't as delicate as many like to insist.

    OK, understood now.

Interesting reading, and truly damning to audiophiles' beliefs - although I'm sure they'll still find weaselly words to refute this evidence...

as shown by the last anti-audiophile thread on the forum, many of them will even refuse double-blind testing

it's all about looks and cost, not sound
