| Windows based Jukebox for the office Hi, Anyone got any recommendations? We have a spare windows machine with access to music on our shared drive; just want some software to give it a web front end so we can control it from our browsers...Googling just returns dire nasty looking software... |

| Re: Windows based Jukebox for the office Transporter & Squeezebox Wireless Network Music Players - Every room deserves a soundtrack This isn't what their SqueezeCenter is designed for, but it will work. SqueezeCenter is free to download and open source. It also has a Java based software emulator included that can be run on the windows box. Anyone on the network can access the web interface via http://<server_ip>:9000/ Handles FLAC, MP3, Ogg, ALAC, mp4, WMA and WAV (and probably some more I've forgoten about). And if you had a reception with the same music playing, a SqueezeBox 3 sitting there would let anyone waiting know what the music is ![]() (I have no connection to SD/Logitech other than being a massive fan of their products) |
