| Re: Sony Vegas Vegas is pretty good, easy to use... Premiere probably has more tools, and is the one I prefer to use because I like the original view of the clips, and the output view side by side (like Final cut), but if your just editing a home video (in a simple way I'm assuming?), there are a few other ones, if you are doing simple edits (Vegas Movie Studio, Premiere Elements, Pinnacle Studio, Ulead Studio) that are easy to use, and probably alot cheaper then the Pro versions of Premiere and Vegas. I hope that gives you an idea. Last edited by HSK; 24-04-2008 at 10:39 AM.. |

| Re: Sony Vegas bigger question: which one have you tried? the only real way to choose is to download trial versions and give them a bash. my vote is for Vegas since it's faster to use, but editors who are used to other programs sometimes find it hard to adjust to the logic of Vegas. You don't have that baggage, I assume, so won't be a problem in that regard. After Effects is just for FX, really. Both Premiere and Vegas play happily with it. |
