Digital TV reception
So, I just joined the 21st Century with the purchase of a new flat TV with Freeview. HOWEVER: I don't get no digital signal. I'm in a block of flats and find it hard to believe that I'm the only person to notice the lack of channels, but before I go complaining to the management company about replacing the aerial is there anything obvious I might have missed on the TV itself? I went into the TV menu and selected 'auto tune' and it didn't find anything at all.

Re: Digital TV reception
Have you checked with your neighbours to see if they can get freeview?
Is there an option in your setup menu to check the signal strength at all? |

Re: Digital TV reception
I had a problem when I originally plugged in my plasma because the aerial cable connector was a bit dodgy replaced that and got all the channels

Re: Digital TV reception
the person who wired the UHF socket in my flat look to have been an arthritic, possibly welsh, visually impared moron. Took the socket off, re-wired it properly so that the sheilding wasn't in the way of the center copper, and signal was much improved.
I also find i need a booster in my bedroom, yet not in the living room. Even for the same TV. (this again is a sign that the internal wiring is awful).
