High pitched wine from my Creatives... how to fix?

    Hi guys,

I have a set of Creative Inspire P5800s. I'm only using the front pair and the woofer as they're connected to my workstation not the HTPC.

They exhibit a high pitched wine... doesn't sound like a grounding thing as I'd expect that to be low pitch - and it's been there ages, but has only become an issue since I moved them to my workstation (which I sit at a lot).

Unplugging the audio cable to the sub/amp doesn't stop it, and it 'comes and goes'.

Any suggestions as to how to fix it? Dry joint somewhere?

Not got much time right now to deal with it, but it'd be nice to have a list of things to look for when I get the chance.

    Cheers,
    Steve.
