Hi,
Wondering what GFX cards people have used for their media centre PCs with the Toshiba 32C3035 TV. I have tried a few now and always seem to have the same issues. Using DVI to HDMI the TV doesn't sense the HD signal and I just get the blue screen. Reseat the HDMI cable and it sparks up. Using standard VGA, fine for using the desktop but switch to Media Center and the TV detects the signal as VGA and I end up with large black bands either side of the picture. Any help or advise would be gratefully received. Thanks, Joe |

Re: Toshiba 32C3035 Media Centre Problem
I don't use either MCE or DVI, but I have found the 32c3035 I've got doesn't like some resolutions.
I've put a variety of stuff through it, in multiple different apps, and its all displayed fine, when set to 1360x768. Hardware - 6800GT via VGA, Via Chrome via VGA, 360 via HDMI, SkyHD via HDMI, and its all displayed exactly as it should. |

Re: Toshiba 32C3035 Media Centre Problem
Hi,
Whatever I do my Asus ATI 1600X will not give me the option of 1360x768. It is listed as supported through VGA which I am trying now. The closest I can get is 1290x768. I have tried a variety of different drivers for the monitor but nothing allows 1360x768. Can you advise? Thanks, Joe |

Re: Toshiba 32C3035 Media Centre Problem
I believe you can write your own monitor.inf listing 1360x768 as a supported resolution of the monitor, allowing it to be used.
I must admit, I didn't have to. Have you tried the Omega drivers for your ATi card? |
