What type of cable is this?

What is the cable called that 'could' connect the headphone 'out' socket on my laptop...and connect to the rear of my Stereo system.

The Stereo system has an 'Aux In' socket as I have used something similar before. It takes a standard plug-in cable that is coloured red and 'white.'

    Two things for this:

What is this type of cable called?

Where can I get it from?

    Cheers

    Tom

Yeah, they're the ones he needs. I have one on my PC to my stereo at the moment as I have no other decent speakers.

If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

    This?

If not, have a hunt around the rest of the audio visual cable section.

Maplin do a cheap (around £1) 3.5mm -> twin phono adapter. You need a phone cable as well to use it with your hi-fi though.

I got a Cambridge Atlantic 3.5mm > phono cable from Richersounds. Sounds quality, well worth the £10.

I could probably dig out a 3.5mm jack to phono adaptor. I'm sure I've got one somewhere. Lol
