I currently have a 1.1.4 touch and ive noticed that the new firmware is out, now, all of apples auth server problems aside and the fact its 6 quid to do which is a joke really, will the upgrade wipe all of my music? ive heard a rumour it will and if so how easily can it all be backed up and restored? the majority of it is in my itunes library anyway but it will take me ages to drag everything back across, not to mention the videos i have on it.
thanx guys |

Re: upgrading ipod touch firmware...
1.1.5 is also out, which is free. Doesn't add functionality, but does fix bugs.
Doesn't iTunes sync everything easily with like one click or two? |

as for syncing, its a pain in the bum because the touch wont work on other librarys and everytime u add media to itunes it automatically copies it across *sigh* itunes really does suck |

Re: upgrading ipod touch firmware...
I read about 1.1.5 on Engadget this morning.
I don't use iTunes, never have so don't really know anything about it.... other than I'm glad I don't need to bother. |

Re: upgrading ipod touch firmware...
hey people, i bit the bullet paid my 6 pound and installed the update, which automatically backed up and restored everything anyway.
firmware 2.0 is pretty cool the app store has some cool stuff on it, my touch can now be used as a remote for itunes on the pc via wi-fi, pretty cool i thought god im starting to sound like an apple fan grr lol |
