You don't really get many TV's with speaker sockets now I'm afraid. Usually just audio line outs, which this doesn't seem to have either. But if it has a headphone socket you can hook that up to a hi-fi. Either by using an adaptor http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...C=SO&U=strat15 and a set of phono cables, or just by a 3.5mm to phono cable http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hama-Connect.../dp/B0009V8W6O I just used those cables as examples, but there's better or cheaper ones out there, dependent on preference

If you were using a surrond system, this would let you get pro-logic, but not any form of digital surround.

It wouldn't give digital sound from TV shows, which is a pity. But if it's for PS3, or any other external source, you'd hook them directly to the surround system anyway

    What was your budget?

This doesn't appear to be too bad a deal.

In that case, this is roughly in that figure, and is a decent TV.

About as good as the 32c3030/35 it replaced which got 5 stars from What HiFi Sound & Vision

Hey guys, sorry for the thread bump. Just wondering if Destroyer got that TV? Replacing my Hannspree 37" TV as it's a bit too big (I sit about 4 foot from the screen) and looking to get a 32", and seen the Vistron that was in the original post so thought I'd ask.

Not 1080p, but a good TV none the less.

I'd have that over a no name brand anyday...

for a 32" tv you wouldnt notice a great improvement really...unless you planning on hooking up a pc/laptop then having the greater res might be beneficial...otherwise imo 1080p is not noticeable on a tv less then 40" (some argue as high as 50" even)

True, but it all depends on how close you sit I think there can be differences at 40", but at 32" I wouldn't worry.

But if it's for use with a console it's not really worth worrying about anyway, as so few games run in native 1080p. Doesn't matter what they upscale to, if the pixels aren't there in the first place, it won't make a lot of difference!
