Just bought this camcorder. Do I need memory?

    Sony DCRDVD110 DVD Handycam Camcorder

    Just bought this:

Anyone know if you need to buy Memory Stick Duo as well? (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-4GB-Pro...ef=pd_sim_ce_5)

Or is that just for optional storage?

Optional; the primary recording medium is recordable DVD - that said, I'd be tempted on the basis that memory stick might be more flexible?

It's optional Steven for extra recording time via the HYBRID function.

So basically that means, once you've recorded you need to put it straight to DVD otherwise it doesn't save on an internal memory?

It records straight to the DVD AFAIK; it's not really store and record.
