Ferguson Hill mini-Speaker System Hi guys, Just received an promo e-mail from Ferguson Hill saying they've got a 30% sale on for the next few days. I've been drooling over them since I seen 'em in the Apple Store - they look positively stunning. I had a look at few reviews which spoke very highly of them - ie. they don't just look good. I'm looking at the FH007 + FH008 combo and for reference I am currently using a set of JBL Creature II's so I can see them being significatly better sound quality wise. Main use will be listening to music through iTunes and the occasional game/movie. So I'm just wondering if any of you have tried these bad boys or could offer any opinions of them.

Re: Ferguson Hill mini-Speaker System A mate of mine has these in their living room. Really underwhelemed after seeing what they cost. I thought they where distinctly average and must of cost £300, not £750! For the money you can get much better sounding proper HiFi bookshelf speakers. But if you really like the looks, and they say such things are in the eye of the beholder, for me its the ear throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)

Re: Ferguson Hill mini-Speaker System That is true with all compact, good looking speakers - half the price bookshelf/floorstanding speakers will sound as good or better

Re: Ferguson Hill mini-Speaker System Hi thanks for the replies people! Sadly I just measured my desk at 190cm. There is no way they'll fit. Each horn is 29cm wide, smaller speaker is 20cm diameter so looking at 60cm per side to accomodate breathing space between each speaker. 30" ACD is 69cm wide. So that only leaves basically 5cm of room between the speakers and monitor. ![]() So, any one able to suggest a suitable replacement for these. I am absolutely gutted, I've been looking at them for 2 months and with the £80 it seemed perfect but it seems a no go. I've had a look at the "Razer Mako THX Certified 2.1 Speaker System" on OcUK. Seem a lot more powerful etc, so I'm thinking of going for those instead. Unless you have any recommendations, must be less than 30cm wide though.
