Is your sofa up against the wall or where abouts is it situated?

Where are your current speakers and how are they positioned?

Currehnt speakers are floor standers and are positioned either side of the tv as far into the corners as I can.

Its for a bedroom setup so the rear speakers will be wall mounted.

Have you looked at the QAV Rears ?

QAV BMR I think they are called, they look quite nice, get good reports and are quite deiscrete too, so long as you get the cabling right

For any set-up people often recommend trying to get the same brand of speakers all around to get a more balanced set-up.

As for the QAV (Q Acoustics) I don't think there are many other people that do such a good set-up. See if you can find any second hand going as they are usually < £50, otherwise £80 isn't an awful lot to pay, although it depends on what you and your missus thinks about it though.

Just factor in that rear speakers never seem to do a lot

    They do look pretty amazing

Im wondering if getting a sub might be a better bet atm.

Im looking at getting B and w 603`s at some point i think although its been a few years since I last looked at speakers.

Join AVF some very knowledgeable people on there. Although like on here you can spend a LOT of time. The trader section always gets the occasional gem or two

As for subs I have no experience, though people seem more than happy to spend > £500 on something that makes the room shake. I just have a Jamo A102HCS5 set-up with the standard sub at the moment and it does enough for me with movies.

I have a pair of 1000C (Q Acoustic) Centre speakers as L+R channels for music - because I'm cheap like that. They sound good though Just a bit gutted I didn't buy a third as well.

    Re: Rear speaker help

General rule of thumb is to stick to the same make of speakers for a surround set, i would suggest getting eltax rear speakers of your choice.
