Those of you with kids - *that* moment which we all dread...

    Yup, it happened to me.

After finding my son looking very sheepish and the cover removed from my Paradigm CC250 I was faced with the above.

So, after getting the Dyson out and removing all the filters (to get as much suction as possible) we ended up with:

Not a mark on the cones and they sound fine. I know they're only dust covers but on a semi expensive centre speaker you don't want that do you?

The hoover method worked perfectly though on the first one it oversucked very slightly and I had a little too much displacement as the cover popped back into shape. I was much more careful with the second, and looking back modding the Dyson wasn't really needed.

Oh man, don't even joke lol! On the upside all of that kind of gear is behind a glass door which as yet has remained closed. Only a matter of time though I suppose

Just spent this morning trying to get milk vomit off the sofa covers......

Its not the cleaning up; its the diagnosis that I am having problems with. He doesn't have a temp.

Oh man, sorry to see that but well done fixing it.
My son is 10 months old - which means he's nearly walking (well, wobbly-walking), and has a keen interest in all things that he shouldn't.
Couple this with us currently having builders in re-doing our kitchen, and i have hammers, buckets, screws all kind of lying around (or placed delicately on matts on the table, just at finger-tip height).

It's all a nightmare until the builders are done! I'm just hoping that he doesnt think that my plasma TV needs a bit of a good bash...

System as shown, plus: Akasa 965 HSF. Griffin Powermate that pulsates blue! Solid oak computer desk.
Diamondback Razor. Logitech media keyboard. Western Dig HD Media Player. An AC-S1 R2 on the 3870. Netgear DG834N router. Acer Aspire One netbook.
Creative I-Trigue 3450 driven by an Audigy 2. External 160GB and 500GB hard drives. 1 happy me. 1 not so happy me's wife.

My Bravia bore the brunt of a plastic hammer the other day as well, luckily no damage done. It really is 'danger age' right now for anything gadgety!

Yeah like the morning I made Cameron some toast when he was 2 or 3, I went into the kitchen to make a coffee for Sharon then I walk back in the room a minute later to find him playing with the VCR. At first I thought he wanted a video on, till I opened the flap to insert the tape and I find the toast had been lodged in there with the bairn claiming to be Postman pat :S

oh lord, i did that to many dads speakers when i was young, he wasn't so lucky pulling them out again though (they're still like it to this day). Ironically enough, my flat mate did it to my Q acoustics floortsanders (1050i) as he was 'curious'. Luckerly he is old enough to pay for the replacement of them (they had badly creased when we popped them out)....£72 for one bass cone!

These are all quite easy to repair, however melted crayons cannot!

Had to take my sub to pieces to fish out all the cars the girlfriends son had "posted".

Fortunately it's not an expensive sub
